On the majority of occasions, a great view does not make a great photograph. Sounds counterintuitive but, it’s true for all sorts of reasons. This time, I walked over a crest to see this lovely valley over looking the Linwood Nature Reserve with low morning mist and the sun just risen.

I had to move quickly due to the mist moving and evaporating as the sun warmed it. Luckily, all the elements came together to make the shot.
